With a background spanning from Europe to Japan, and previous workplaces being such institutions as The Ritz in London and Ormeggio at the Spit in Sydney, Frederico Zanellato’s latest venture combines all of this experience, international inspiration and expertise into one chic spot for Sydney-siders.
Meals are aimed at larger booked groups and brought out in either three, five or eight courses. The wine list has been selected by Michela Boncagni, Head Sommelier and Frederico's wife, to echo their Italian heritage but also perfectly match each dish. It’s a timeless wine menu, that surpasses trends and focuses on prowess. Cocktails are also on offer and range from the classics to innovative new mixes.
The interior is modern yet cosy, you feel the Japanese, European and Australian influences coming through in the decor, as well as the smaller details such as the rustic china your meal is served on and the pendant lights that drop down from the ceiling. On top of this you’ll be seated by a beautiful view of Sydney wharf.
LuMi is casual fine dining at its best and an experience for all the senses.
